Market Analysis – The USDA's June Crop Report mirrored the agency's corn and soybean production estimates in last month's report. Cory Walters, UNL Extension economist, analyzes the USDA's latest set of numbers. Cory also talks about marketing crops after extreme weather scenarios.

Hail Damage Recovery – UNL Extension held informational meetings this week in Bradshaw, Marquette and Uehling aimed at helping producers make management decisions after hail damaged crops in those areas of Nebraska. We report from Uehling where more than 120 farmers gathered to learn about assessing damage, determining insurance options and moving forward with the same or a new crop. Herbicide-Resistant Weeds – There are seven species of herbicide-resistant weeds in Nebraska. Amit Jhala, UNL Extension weed management specialist, gives an update on resistance issues in the state.
