2013 SCN Testing Results –“ For the past nine years, the Nebraska Soybean Board has funded a soybean cyst nematode sampling program with UNL Extension. Checkoff dollars cover the cost of sample analysis, and 2014 will mark the 10th year of the program. Since 2005, farmers have submitted nearly 5,500 samples and SCN has been found in 29 counties for the first time as a result. In 2013, Rock and Custer counties were added to the list. Loren Giesler, UNL Extension plant pathologist, talks about the 2013 SCN test results.
