Range and pasture conditions in western Nebraska are somewhat improved in some areas but are still not very good overall. Jerry Volesky, NU Ext. range and forage specialist, describes the general condition and growth issues of both cool and warm season grasses in western Nebraska. Volesky also describes management practices that will limit damage to the resource. Ivan Rush, beef specialist, compares this year's range condition to last year's.
